Video Creation
Like a gorgeous rose, a well done video needs time to develop and unfold.
If you need a memorial video in a day or two, I’m not your person. Each video I create is unique. I don’t have a formula or program, I don’t rely on A.I., and I don’t churn these out quickly. These are matters of the heart, and I approach it with heart. I want to create a small masterpiece that will match the love you hold for your beloved companion.
What tech do I use?
- I use iMovie for video creating.
- I use a platform called Uppbeat for licensed free-use music. The contributing musicians are skilled and offer a wonderful variety of styles and genres – classical, folk, indie, acoustic, ambient, playful, sentimental, etc. I typically spend a couple of days finding the perfect music for a video. The clips I use in a video are listed in the video description, giving credit where due.
- I use Garage Band for custom songs that I compose and record.
Putting it all together
A phone conversation is helpful in getting to know you and your preferences. If email is easier for you, we can do that instead. Either way, once I learn what your music preferences are and receive your photos and videos, I can begin piecing things together in a seamless and meaningful way.
Sending media
Whether via phone or email, we’ll discuss the best ways to send photos and videos. If you need help knowing how to do that, I can send instructional videos to help explain.
Some people send an entire photo album to my email via Google Drive or Google Photos. That works well. Other people send their media by attaching it to an email, which is also an option. If attaching in an email, it’s best to send a group of photos in one email, vs. one photo per email. I have a tutorial on how to do that, if needed.
Going through photos and footage of an animal companion can be a time consuming, and for many, an emotional task. If it feels overwhelming or difficult, sending an entire album is the best option. Then the task of sorting through and finding the best media is on me, which is fine! Simply do what is best for you.
